PSOne and powerstrip help please!

I have just completed my mod and I can't get powerstrip to work properly. Here's what happens. Without powerstrip I get a double image of my wallpaper. There is a black line down the middle and I see my wallpaper on both sides.

When I try to use powerstrip however, everything gets messed up! I have tried many different settings but when I try ones that have worked for others I get a steady picture but it is all garbled and is somewhat similar to this:

Then every now and then it will all of a sudden jump back to the split screen. If I turn interlacing off it will also go back to the split screen. What is going on? What should I do.

I am using an American PSOne screen and a Radeon 7000 PCI card. I have tried the settings suggested by Starfox, mpro, the bit-tech article, and this guy who seemed to have the same problem and I seem to get the same results no matter what I try. Please help!

Well, I bought my card because it has c-sync and someone said they were using it for the mod so I'm not sure. Also, I'd like to say that Powerstrip just doesn't seem to work in general. Sometimes when I make changes even though I am clearly tweaking the secondary display off of my secondary card, it ends up changing the settings on my main monitor and it just goes black for fifteen seconds. When it comes back I always check to see if I was tweaking the wrong graphics card but it always says "Radeon 7000" on the left side of the window! Why is it doing that?!

I guess to add to my original post above does anyone know which settings are incorrect that will cause the effect I showed above (a stable and fairly crisp picture but all jagged and offset)? When I get down to pixel clock of 12.6MHz, the picture becomes stable but then I don't know how to make it any better. Please help.

One more thing that doesn't make sense, when I drag my mouse over to that screen the arrow looks fine and moves completely normally but the background and any window I put there is all garbled. What the heck is going on?!

OK, I stopped using 480i and switched to using 720x576 pixels. That took care of the jagged effect above. I can now see an image of my wallpaper but I can't get the image to become stable, it just keeps moving upwards on the screen. It seems most stable at about 15.5MHz but I can't make it any better. What should I try?
