Touch screen problem in XP

I have a new 700H (non-motorised) screen to replace my Lilliput.
I test installed it on my destop pc no problems.

I then installed it on the car pc, ran the cal software, and it worked without problems.
After the next reboot, the touch screen did not work. If i manually run the cal software (touchkit) it find the screen and it works again until the next reboot.
I have the latest drivers 4.0.2.1929 from here: http://www.cartft.com/support/drivers/TFT

I think that maybe the desktop ran because i used older lilliput drivers, but i dont really want to backstep the drivers beacuse the newer version has some good addtional functions.

Somebody else must had seen this problem, no?

Is it ran directly to the computer's usb port? If its ran through a hub, it might be a power issue. Hope that helped.

no, its direct to MB.
It seems to be a software/driver issue not power

touch screen stop working at random time after cal

I recently got the 700H screen from DWW, and experience similar problem with the touch screen. It works right after calibration and then it would unpredictedly stop working. I would cal again then it work and then a few second or minute later it stop - driving me insane.

I did a clean install of window xp and try both 3.2.3.3122 and the latest one, 4.0.2.1929 (clean install prior to each driver install) but the same problem persist.

is there any more driver I can try? am I missing something? Please help!!!

thanks,

The problem mentioned in this thread is with drivers not electrical, I suggest if anyone is having electrical problems you make a separate thread rather than spam up this useful 'driver version' solution. thx

And here is me thinking that he was simply offering a possible solution that more than one member was having. Funny spam comes in all shapes and sizes.

No doubt that what most are describing is a driver issue possibly with com port issues as well. Try testing USB devices on their own to see if they are happy to work.
