non-motorized housing - opinions please...

so I'm finally going to start a new project and pretty much start from scratch.
This project is going to revolve around a non-motorized VGA / touchscreen unit. I just need to decide on which one.

based on my research I know a few things...

it seems like the only difference btwn the DWW-7VGT and the DWW-7VGA is that
- VGT uses a Hitachi Panel
- VGA uses a Panasonic Panel (and is $50 more expensive)

between those two - any suggestions?

I own this exact same housing (but w/ the crappier non-vga/non-touch screen) and I'm not too confident about its build quality...
everything is good except for the trim-ring which is barely held on by a few teeeeeeny screws.

And then - there's the DWW-700H.
Panasonic panel but the housing is different. Does anyone have experience w/ this one? Nothing came on my searches...

Bottom line - which non-motorized VGA unit should I go with?

As far as the screens, Panasonic = what Xenarc uses = brighter, clearer, etc. Up to you if that's woth the $50 upgrade or not.

Don't know about the differences in housing..

Looks like what I was looking for. For some reason I could only find motorized versions, but I like yours better. Puts my 3 hrs on Google to shame.

Here's my useless thread.

I like the VGA, but it looks like they're out of stock. Thanks for the research!

Anyone know how the one listed above stacks up to the 700IDT?
Brightness is the same, and they're both OOS. At least the IDT I can find elsewhere for roughly the same price.

i have kinda had my eye on the DWW-700H. I like the idea of being able to swivel it to the position I want. I just have not seen a lot of reviews on the quality yet.

I have the 700H (bought from a nice ebay guy 'stivaskam', not DWW)

I like it, the screen is clearer and brighter than the lilliput, and the robustness & range of movement (to avoid relections) is much better than a motorised screen.

Could post pics of it in your car, pretty pleeeeeaaase

I really want this screen, and the price on it is great.

How is the "sturdiness" of it? I'm looking at it, but I have a pretty stiff suspension in my car.

Any issues with the touchscreen or any bugs that annoy you?

I have the same questions as NickFury does. I'm also looking to buy this screen. If anybody has any feedback about this screen, please reply! Sturdiness/quality/compatibilities/the goods/the bads/bugs

Thanks!
