I have two PSONE LCD screens that I am putting in the headrests of my Yukon. I will be sending video via a modded XBox running XBMC. This is mainly for my kids to play some games and watch divx movies on trips.
I would like the best possible video signal going to these two screens. I do not want to use a composite signal.
Does the PSONE LCD truly display an S-Video signal? If so, that would be sufficient. Segasonicfan has a thread that shows how to display S-Video
here. But searching on
another forum he then says

I did figure out an S-Video mod (probably similar to yours) that you can see here but I'm pretty sure the chip is just combining the luma and chroma inputs internally because the video is still a composite picture.
So is it or isn't it an S-Video signal by using the above method? Is there another way to display S-Video? (and don't tell me to use an S-Video to composite adapter, that is still composite)
If S-Video is not an option, then what other inputs will the PSONE LCD take? My XBox will not display VGA, so that one is out.
Here are the outputs that the XBox can display. It can output SCART (15 kHz RGB), is that an option?
I really appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Alan
