measurements

Hey Guys,
spend the last hour lookin up on sizes but am a little lost
I have an aftermarket headunit installed into my car but i wish to remove it and add the Xenarc 700IDT. thing is im not sure what 1DIN is.. would that be the same size as the aftermarket HU?.
before i purchase it i would like to be sure of a few things thats all.

Esc. wins with the right answer..

Longer explanation if you care: 1 DIN is the size of a standard radio.. if you have a seperate radio and cd player on to of each other that's likely DIN (although could be a squashed 1.5 I suppose). In-dash motorized monitors fit perfectly in a 1-din unit (the space that the headunit would normally take up).
