LCD resolutions
Hi guys,
I tried searching but cudn't find ne info, i might have missed the thread so plz don't get ****ed if it's a repost.
I'm looking 4 a lcd, but i'm just confused about the resolution they mention on Ebay. ex: links below.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll..._BIN_Stores_IT (Incredible resolution 480 x RGB x 324 = 336960 pixels)
http://cgi.ebay.com/Caska-CA-2022-7-...QQcmdZViewItem (Resolution: 1400x 234 = 327600 dots)
Now my question iz that. Both of the lcds look the same, but the resolutions r different. Can some1 plz tell me which resolution is better ? cuz there iz a price difference.
Waiting 2 hear 4rom u guys, n thanx in advance.
Regards,
Aj.

They both have lousy resolution. The first one is more expensive because it has a 6-disc changer.
They are both composite lcd's not vga (read more about this in FAQ section). Composite lcd's have an rca video input and a vga lcd has a vga input (like most computer monitors.)
This is a link to something that person sells that has good resolution http://cgi.ebay.com/Lilliput-7-motor...QQcmdZViewItem.
Most people here seem to like the Lilliputs and Xenarcs They are vga and have good resolution.
I think the way that stuff is written up is confusing especially if you don't know what you are looking at.
I would suggest doing a lot more research BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING. Read the FAQ here on mp3car.com. Search for "composite lcd", "vga", "resolution" and just start reading. If you still have questions feel free to ask.

Yes, that will work.
I would still do some more research though. I bought a Super 7" vga/tft/lcd (and rca in) with touchscreen for 190.00 shipped on ebay. This is a just an lcd not an "in dash". I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the unit you picked out but I am not familiar with it.
I honestly don't know if the resolution on those composite lcds is typical or if they are a good quality product. I would at least take the time to search the internet, maybe take a look at what best buy and circuit city have - **just to compare resolution, price and maybe see them and see if you would be happy with that resolution**. Also see what else there is on ebay.
Good luck!

To: greenman100 / 2loud2old,
Thanx 4 the repliez guyz. I don't want 2 b rude, but if u guys wud hav saved those clicks on the keyboard 4 something a lil better, it wud hav helped alot.
I don't c nething wrong in the way i type, n 2Loud2Old if u can translate wat i wrote that ez, it only meanz that u understood everything, so y waste forum space with a post which totally means nothing.
Try 2 b helpful instead of picking out what u might think az mistakes and/or pointing @ something that U don't like.
Regards,
Aj.

The point is, it is more difficult to read in internetese/ghettoese. You are asking for help but making it harder for people to help you. Kind of selfish if you ask me. There is no reason for it other than trying to look cool and instead looking like a fool. Try making it easier for people to help you and you will likely get more help.

Thanks for the note StrataG,
When i read other threads about ppl who talked off topic or more on how someone typed or something, instead of helping, i just wondered why all the fuss and not just help the guy. And i don't have to look cool here or anything, it's just the way i type, there are better places where i would show off to look cool.
Anyway, i'm only here for help and not argue, and i appreciate you guys putting in your comments. And no i'm not selfish, if i were you, i would still help anyone if i could, as long as i understood what he wanted.
But i'm going to go by your rule, so lets start again with a new english dictionary.
Thanks again for all the help.
Regards,
Aj.
