Character Display + MPXPlay + FreeDOS ?
I currently have MPXPlay and FreeDOS running on a old hp ( no windows installed ). MPXPlay apparently has LCD functionality and allows you to set info to put on the LCD. I was wondering if there are any easy Plug N Play solutions without doing and sodering or anything. I would like to have a 4 line display, ( 3 at least ), just to display artist, title, and album..
My plan is to put this in my car, and just hook a tape converter into the jack and then use a cigarette lighter inverter and hook it up in that.. I just got started in this stuff, and could use a little guidance. Im trying to spend as less as possible but at the same time not end up with a piece of ****...
