Pic request: Xenarc 700TR installs
Been thinking of purchising one of these, but first I'd like to see some installs with it. Searching on this board, only led to a few pics those of Fiskars's and Vinister's...
Xenarc 700TR owners, please, post a pic of your screen install here!

The 700TR's aren't that popular.

I love them. They're built super strong, they're nice and heavy, the linkage inside has no play or wiggle. The display is, well, xenarc... its great. It even seems to have a better picture than the rest of the 700 series, but it may just be from the better angle. It sits up at a 10 or 15 degree angle, usually just right.
I'd rather a manually operated screen to a motorized one anyday, especially a well built one. you just click it and it flys out and flips up, no
wwrwwrwrwrrrwrwrrrrrwrwrwrwrwr and shoddy linkages that wont work any longer than the warranty.
I also like that you can hook it up to the ebrake so that it shuts off and you dont get sued (when installing it for other people).
The only drawback is that it sticks out alot when its folded in. It's like one of the kenwood flip out decks from a couple years ago.
It kinda gives me an idea if only you could fit the rest of the PC in that case, you could make a pull-out DIN pc like those old denons... ultimate theft protection.

Thanks for the quik review!
It has a handbrake wire? I didn't know that...nice!
By sticking out a lot you mean it's not that slim, right? On your PT Cruiser, this is not exactly a problem as you have the upper part of the winshield tinted, as I don't...but that's not exactly a problem...

actually the pt cruiser doesn't have a 700tr. thats a clarion indash motorized monitor.
I wouldn't worry about it sticking out, its only when its folded down so who really cares.

Yeah, you're right. I guess I'll just have to see...
Do you have any other pics of the screen aside from the ones in your thread?

the 700TR your refering to is an indash model? i have a 700TR and its a flip down... i dont get what your saying (vinister) about sticking out of the dash?? i really dont care much for my flipdown 700TR. the things wiggles and shimmys so much i often just select some music and close it. i need to pull it down and see if i cant tighten screws or something... but im ready to go indash if i can find something that will fit nicely
the pic on my screen is good... just dont like the mechanics of it.

Yeah, I meant the flip down model.
If you say you have one, post up some pics!
