first,
how are you powering this unit? direct from the car? or from your carpc's power controller?

second, I have found that the cable connection to my 629 is very fragile and prone to interference unless I hold the cable extremely tight. - I am using a typical 9pin din extention cable for my screen. - the stock connector comes with a very tough looking screw together type locking mechanism, which is useless when you are using an extention cable unfortunately. I am planning on heating up the garage and doing a solder job on it so permamently affix the extention cable to the units stock cables, and that should cure my 'fuzzy screen' problem.

but back to your question: check your cables, verify the proper power is getting to the unit, and since you have a liliput, you also have the "indoors" power adapter, why not bring it inside and power it up there? then at least you will be able to tell if the unit is faulty or if it is just your cabling..

yes i powered my screen of my opus 120w both ground and 12v Line and i'm using a high quality vga extension cable of 5 meter. I sended a mail to mp3car.com and they said the problem was the VGA signal so again the connector. I'm gonna take everything out of the car and set it up again. I can't use the lilliput indoors because the power adaptor is american and I'm in europe so we have a different electric system.

So i'm gonna try again and let's hope it works

I took some time today and spliced in a 9 foot extention cord.
Im convinced that there is a reason they put that "screw together joint" in there. which would explain why my image was so blurry all the time.
but anyway, I chopped the cords, cut up a ton of shrink tubing and soldered all the wires together one at a time. (on each end)

it works!!!
but I still cant do 800x480..that would be pretty sweet.
