The SP13000 *can* do 800x480, but you *might* need to upgrade the BIOS to do so. My SP13000 needed the BIOS update to do 800x480, the SP13000s currently shipping might come with this BIOS from the factory.

Be carefull when changing the BIOS. If you don't know what you're doing, there may be no turning back.

Actually I think is pretty simple:
You make a floppy disk or bootable CD, put the flash utility and the .bin file in it, boot the PC type the utility name (is a .Exe) once you in you just type the name of the .bin file, if you have the incorrect .bin file the utility will alart you, and that is pretty much it. JUST REMEMBER NO UNPLUG OR POWER OF THE PC WHILE DOING IT!! (if you have a UPS uset so if for any reason the power in you house goes off, you still have time to complete the process)
Thanatos.

I have the latest drivers (I think) installed, and I have flashed to the latest BIOS, 1.07. I do not see any other options in XP but 800 by 600 and 1024 by 768. What settings in the BIOS do you need to have set to do this?
Am I missing something else?

You guys also need to list which monitor you're using. I think people have gotten it to work with some monitors, but I haven;t heard of anyone getting 800x480 with a Lilliput or Xenarc....

the answers are right in front of your eyes in this thread. it summarizes into this:
