Lilliput 629 no power

Alright heres the deal. I got my lilliput about 2 weeks ago. I immediately took it apart as i molded the faceplate of the screen surround into my dash piece. Well, im all done witht the molding and today i put it all back together again. You should also know that during that time, i didnt touch the rest of the unit...screen and back plastic. The only thing that i unplugged the first time was the ribbon cable from the button control board to the main board and the 4 prong connector thats stuck to the back of the screen via double sticky tape, which i immediately put back together. Anyways, i put everything back together this evening and im not getting any power at all. I tried using the power straight to the caseing and the power that you can use on the video connector. Im getting no lights....can somebody please help me?!

The ribbon cable doesn't fit properly. You need to insert it all the way to one side or the other. That may or may not fix your problem.

If you look close at the ribon cable, you see that on the end where it connects to the control button panel there is excess room for the cable width wise. Make sure it is favored toward the end closest to the POWER button. I ran into the same problem. Also make sure the cable ends have the metal portions situated correctly against the metal (not plastic) of the connectors themselves. The 4 prong connector is for the touchscreen.
Warning! Any other cables put back together wrong can DAMAGE your expensive screen. I should know... DOU! Good Luck. Hope this works.

in the process of figuring out that previous issue, i unplugged the other ribbon cable (the shorter, more of a pain in the a** cable, would this be my issue. Does this cable have to be off to one side like the other, or centered?

If that one is put back wrong (shorted) it can fry the monitor. Best case is only the fuse blew (do search), but
with blown fuse I dont think you would get the white screen. Search more and good luck.
