I am almost ready to smash this thing with a hammer

Ok so I finally recovered from all the problems I had with hardware after a wiring mistake. Now the software is f'in kicking my ***. I have a m10000 with a year and a half old lilliput 7" monitor.

1: my lilliput display is off center to the right 1/4" and I can not adjust it. I dont have a remote, it got lost the day after I got it.
2: when I go into the video settings, it has lcd and vga monitors checked, when I uncheck lcd, the display is centered correctly, but when I restart it is off center again.
3: all the settings for gamma/brightness/contrast do not save correctly, it goes back to default every time I restart.
4: the touchscreen works but I get a "no touchscreen drivers loaded" every time I start the pc, but they are loaded.
5: I installed powerstrip but it has no h/v alignment I can find and it also does not load correctly when I restart.
6: every time I start the pc the fu-king 4 point alignment comes up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

Why is this such a pain in the ***? I have tried several touchscreen drivers and several updates for the via onboard video unichrome nonsense. Please help before I smash this pc to bits!

No, I have spent so many hours on this thing that I am going to pull my hair out if I can't get it fixed. I have used the search, like hours of searching and reading and I just cant get this thing right. What ****es me off is that it was working for a year and a half with no problems and now I reload xp and the drivers for everything and now I have nothing but problems.

Here's a post I found about someone with a similar problem. No one replied to him at all.

power everything off completely
go have a beer
come back
get the display off centre
switch screen off leaving display off centre
count to 10
switch screen back on
screen should try centralise itself
or use windows to adjust screen res
or load powerstrip to centralise display

SAscooby, you are a genious. I turned it off and got a beer. Before I was 1/2 way done with the beer I got an idea. I deleted all the video and touchscreen drivers and reloaded everything. Then I still had the monitor off center but the touchscreen works again! You have to select to load ps2 drivers for the usb touchscreen to work?!? Then I noticed that I had dual monitors selected (crt and lcd) in windows, but I could not turn off the lcd monitor because it would be back when I restarted. So I went into the bios and found that the crt+lcd and 1024x768 was selected! So I changed it to crt and 800x600 and BAM, it works good now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also have more refresh rates available and 75hz looks a lot better then 60hz. So anyways, thanks for calming me down so I could think straight.

perhaps you should try a big rock or boulder instead of a hammer, it would cover a greater surface and therefore inflict more damage

Why do you have crt+lcd enabled if you are only using the vga port for your monitor?

That setting (crt+lcd) refers to using both the vga port (or a pci video card) and the lvds port (via lvds ad-on module).

You should have crt only enabled.

When you have crt+lcd enabled, the system will default the video resolution to the res. selected. This would then apply to both the vga port, and the lvds port.
This setting is only needed when you have an lcd panel attached to the lvds port (via the lvds add on module for Epia)

I suggest you set the bios to crt only. This will clear up your off center screen issue.
