"SUPER" (Xenarc repackage) touch screen- can not get the touch drivers working

I have tried everything! I first installed the drivers from the CD that came with the "Super" LCD touch panel. I Installed them without the USB cable plugged in (VGA was plugged in though). Under the mouse list in the device manager it shows the touch panel, but under the USB list there is an Unknown device. Drivers will not attach to it. The touch panel settings do not show an available panel to configure and calibrate. I then uninstalled the drivers. I then left the USB plugged in and installed the drivers. Still nothing. I then attempted to use the Xenarc V4 drivers both ways- usb not plugged in and then with it plugged in. I tried a variety of ways and reboot combinations. I just can not get it to recognize!

When using just the Xenarc drivers I do not get the touch panel under the mouse section of the device manager.

Anyone out there able to get this installed, I know people out there have this screen working, and I used to several months ago with a different PC, but now I just can't get it.

I'm having the same problem....only mine was working then I unpluged everything to hide some wires....when I tested to see if everything was working before I put my car back together it was fine....but now the ts is gone??
so I pulled my car apart again to make sure everything was pluged in and that I didn't kill a wire...everythings good....but still no ts is recognized when I plug it in??? I've tried the drivers it came with and the latest drivers online....still nothing!!!....anyone

Okay I have had the same kind of screen. What I have found is that the connection between the touchscreen controller and the usb is weak for some reason. What I read many have done is open the screen up and resolder the connections, adding more solder. I had broken my lcd so i removed the touch screen controler and added a usb attachment directly to the board and now have no problems

As for the drivers, the touchkit v3.2.1 works quite well as far as I have found.

The touchkit drivers I installed prior to connecting the touchcontroller and then made sure it was configured within the little touchscreen calibration program included with the drivers. As stated above i havent had any problems to date.

this is the controler so the bad conection is between this and the usb wire?? I'm not the best at soldering would getting the usb wire that conects into the bottom of the controler (the white thing) fix the problem?? http://www.egalax.com.tw/eg/SU01.htm

That is exactly the part. What i did was melt the solder the contacts on the white part so that there was a better, cleaner connection. A nicely warmed soldering iron, add a touch of flux and melt the connecton and vola, clean and new.
