Lilliput 70NP flickers when I set resolution to 800x480. Please help!

I just got a used Lilliput off of MP3car and I got it all hooked up and turned it on and it worked perfectly. I then tried to set the resolution to 800x480 and when I do that it looks fine on my laptop but when I look at the Lilliput screen it is just sitting there and it is flickering. It will show the screen and then it will go away and when you see the screen it is offset to the right a little with a couple of lines towards the lower left hand corner. It will just sit there and flicker like this on and on until I change the resolution to anything different. Every other resolution it seems to work fine with. If any body has any ideas please help me out. Thanks!

Try adjusting the refresh rate.

I looked in every menu on the screen and I couldn't find a refresh rate anywhere. It is something to do with the settings on the monitor and not the computer right?

Well I found the refrech rates on my laptop (figures) and I messed with them and set all kinds of different settings and it would change my laptop LCD monitor but the lilliput still would sit there and flash on and off. Its looks really wierd. Is there a certain Hz that you would recomend trying?

I must be doing something wrong.....I have powerstrip installed of course and when I go into the display properties on Powerstrip I select 800x480 and then right under that there is a section that says refresh rate. What is the easiest way to change the refresh rate? When I go into the advanced timing options there is a vertical refresh rate and a horizontal refresh rate. Is this what I want to change? I'm a newb when it comes to refresh rates and such. Let me know. Thanks!
