Lilliput dead after 5 min!!

Well I'll be damned... I read all the horror stories on here about lilis being dead right out of the box but didn't think I'll happen to me...

It's actually not mine.. I was helping my friend setup his carputer and after not even 5 minutes of trying to start up the computer, the monitor decided to stop working! It doesn't seem to have ANY power at all...

Anything I can do?

on the back it says: 61981592B0146 so I'm guessing it's the 619 and yes, it is black... why?

I've had that go on my lilliput before, prolly a wise idea to check it or try powering it with the AC adapter

I AM trying it with the AC adaptor.. the fuse box is only on the DC (cig lighter) cable and I haven't even tried that one.. I just opened the box.. and within 5 minutes it just died... no lights come on now.. nothing..

Have you checked the ac adapter with a multimeter to make sure it is supplying power to the monitor? I had an experience with the AC adapter I bought for my son's VSmile at Christmas where it was bad right out of the box. Fortunately the VSmile can be run off of 3 C batteries. Maybe try running the monitor out to the car and plug it in with the cig adapter just to see if it will power on.
