Innovatek IN-7031 Wiring

Hi,

I have recently acquired an Innovatek IN-7031 in-dash TFT but have no information on the wiring harness. Any information on which colour wires do what (particularly the blue one) would be gratefully received.

Cheers.

pictures please.
can't find the unit you reference. Is it a multifunction hu? (cd, dvd, or stereo?)
if the unit has a stereo, or cd player, etc. the blue wire is most likely the soft power on for an amp.

It is just a monitor, no tuner or anything else. I've managed to figure out the obvious ones, red, yellow, black and the 2 video inputs but there is this extra blue wire which must be there for a reason, i just don't know what!

ok, so it most likely is not a remote power on for an amp. It is then probably a ground wire ment to be hooked up to the transmission range indicator switch (tells the car's computer what gear the trans is in) or to the neutral safty switch. this is a safty feature to prevent the lcd from working when the vehicle is in drive, to prevent the driver from viewing the lcd. This is just a guess, since I don't actually have the monitor in hand, nor can I locate the diagram. I am asuming of course that you did and right??

Yep, i did every search you can think of. The only reference to this unit is in this forum, a thread posted about a year ago. I'll stick a meter on it and see whether there is any voltage, if there is i'll ground it down through a resistor see what happens. If there isn't i'll pull it high through a resistor, again see what happens.

Thanks for your help.
