Lilliput not showing anything. Busted 40-pin?

When I power my TS up while its connected to the computer(vga and usb) button lights come on, screen flicks on to a plain black screen and doesn’t show anything from there. I reopened the casing to find one of the ribbon cables ripped a bit. 1-2 of the pin cables have broken. Before I go buying another from digitalww I want to make sure this is the cause. Also I want to make sure its the 40 pin opposite sides cable. Also I couldn’t see how to disconnect the cable on the screen end. Ive included some pics. Can anyone help? Cheers

I put it all back together again, with the ripped cable. It was black for like 20 straight seconds and then started flickering on for about 10 secs, then stayed on. It looks like its fine now, I can reboot ect without it blacking out. I now have a new problem, the touch screen is a morror image touch, i touch one side of the screen and the other side gets the cursur. like a morroe image. Can anyone help with this prob?
