Help with interference (VGA)

I tried searching for suggestions on this, but didn't have any luck.

Trying to finalize everything to mount the computer permenantly and I'm having some VGA interference problems.

Basics of my setup.
8" lilliput (using the included egg ps for the moment)
Dell Latitude CPT in docking station running debian.

With two 6ft extension... nothing. No signal at all.

Tried just using one (won't reach were I want though).
Result: Screen's vertical refresh rate goes crazy. Just rolling really fast. If I manage to start X (800x600), it works (after toggling the lcd, at first just odd gaseous color looking fills) except some slight ghosting.

Tried the laptop directly (no dock)
Result: Same.

The extension cables aren't cheap ones and I used the two to run a second monitor off another system (Geforce 6600) at 1600x1200 with little problem (screen was slightly dark).

Right now the laptop isn't wired in, it's running off battery (don't know if this matters, but figured I'd mention it for completeness).

Any suggestions?

Hello !

Did you fix your problem ? Today I got almost the same problem - directly from my motherboard to my Xenarc -- VGA signal is ok, but when connected thru 10 feet not cheap VGA extension cable ---- no signal on the screen

However, when my laptop is connected instead of my carputer I have great picture on my Xenarc.

So does it looks like poor (weak) VGA signal from my onboard videocard ?
Or maybe there are some tricks about it ?

I found a better cable I had from years and years ago. Really heavy duty looking. Looks like lot's of shielding as it's a lot thicker than the other ones I've accumulated over the years. It worked perfectly.
