Cool I'm looking for a 5" LCD monitor (VGA)

Hello everyone,

this is my first message on this board and i'm trying to build my carputer (like all of y'all) ... but the thing is i have a smal car, and a small dash, and i don't want to put a 7" lcd as this might be tempting for the thieves... i want something discrete and i'm trying to find a 5" lcd monitor able to manage vga input.

Do you know any ?
It would really be helpful ! Thanks.
I know there's been a mod with some psone screens, but i'm not sure of the results... so if any of you did something let me know ! thanks

The only 5" that is possible is the PSone.
You can see the result in my Supra setup.

The only trick to get the PSOne to look good is a video card.
Matrox G200 is the one I used.
search this forum for the mod. Starfox site also has good info too.
Basically, with the right video card, all you have to do is wired it correctly and fire up powerstrip.
if you don't have the right card, you just have to do the C-sync circuit. I posted a diagram for it.

Whatever card you used, it has to be compartible with powerstrip. Without powerstrip support, VGA mod is NOT possible.

In fact, i'm planning to power the psOne screen from a laptop which has an ATI Rage Mobility. Do you know if it's compatible with power strip?
making a Sync circuit is really not a problem.
