new Lilliput 629GL-70NP looks grainy / has rainbow speckles

I just received a new Lilliput 629GL-70NP 7" touchscreen lcd, and the first thing i noticed was that the screen looked very grainy, like the pixels were rainbow speckles.

I did a quick search and found one or two other posts about this but with no conclusive information.

I took some pictures with my dcam. The first pic is an image with the touch screen panel off. The 2nd is with the touch screen panel on. Notice how in the 2nd picture all the pixels look colourful when it should be white. The high res pictures I took show this even more but I had to cut them down to size for the forum.

This is my first touch screen lcd monitor but I expected it to look almost the same as a normal lcd. Have other 629GL-70NP owners noticed this? Does the 619GL-70NP have the same issue?

it's a different touchpanel and makes it a much more reliable touchscreen - you can see it better in the sun as well.

You'll get used to it.

The touchable layer makes most (all?) small LCD's look crappy. I'm wondering why they dont try other touch solutions that you see on bigger touch-screens. I have a few i purchased for my restaurant that are completely clear, just looks like glass... I guess maybe it takes up more room or something, who knows...

Does the Xenarc 700TSV look the same or is it pretty much a clear screen?
