Xenarc configuration memory

Hi there

Ive got a Xenarc 700TSV and I find that I have to constantly adjust the lcd after every cold boot. Mainly, the brightness, contrast, backlight and vertical position (have to shift down around 2 pixels due to a custom program I wrote).

Is there a way to make sure the settings are stored on the Xenarc itself so it remembers what changes were made to it or am I stuck with changing it all the time?

Haven't had a problem with it remembering brightness, contrast, or backlight...
The vert pos might be attributed to slightly incompatible display settings (timings, sync, res... that sort of thing). That might cause the remainder of the settings to be lost, too.

Try changing to a different res &/or refresh rate and repeat the cold boot. See if it remembers.

it remembers my backlight setting but not brightness. always brings it down to 33% every couple of boots from hibernation.

i'll keep doing trial and error though. thanks for that tip.

fventura, I have also noticed that my Xenarc 700TSV looses the brightness and contrast setting after a couple starts. It remembers the setting for about 4 or 5 starts, and then it simply forgets. Its strange. I currently have the xenarc powered right off my M1-ATX psu so it completely powers down when I go into hibernation.

My buddy who also has the 700TSV powers his off a +12V constant and he does not have the problem. However, his unit goes into its own standby mode when it doesnt detect a signal on the vga input. He has had problems with his battery completely discharging however after leaving his car parked for long periods of time. Like 3 days or so.
