Angry My screen arrived!!! BUT

But the monkeys in transport didn't look after it at all. Pretty sure they dropped a pallet on the box!

Not happy!

Yup certainly is! I had a peek inside at the screen, and as expected it is totally smahed also.

It is, or was, the MTSVO-SC fully motorized screen.

purchased from where?

One thing that many companies neglect to tell us is that shippers will not insure LCD screens. This includes the major screen retailer that is mentioned over and over on this forum. UPS/Fedex will not cover the screen if it is broken or even left without a signature regardless of the insured amount. Always pay by credit card and be prepared to fight.

Lucky for you it has a "no dead pixel" warranty!

Sorry, couldnt resist. That really sucks- thats some very serious damage! Did you actually sign for it?!!!

Thats interesting to know about insurance. Actually I would rather it had been sent via the mail service. I hate couriers! They cost more, slower and they don't take any more care.

Yes I had to sign for it. How else do you get it? Wasn't until I opened that I found the damage. Its a bit of a catch 22 really.

So the box was intact? That IS strange! You would expect the box to be completely flattened to do that kind of damage.

Never see a screen in that kind of condition before...

Damn PC!

Anyway continuing........ If you are familiar with EPP foam you will know that it doesn't stay deformed, and springs back to its original shape. ( Great for small electric model aircraft )

So, yes the box looked a little worse for wear, but it didn't elude to the damage that was sustained within.

Ahhh...that makes more sense. Wow. I can just picture the shippers sitting there on a coffe break watching it slowly come back into shape.

Again, that royally sucks...I dont mean to be making light of it. Hope it all works out.

The guys at Karputer said they will replace it and take it up with TNT. Although I think TNT are being difficult. :-(
