LiquidVideo LVM701 DIN Connector?
Hey I have just bought an LCD off ebay and it is missing one connector. It is the A/V input. I was wondering if I could get a pin-out or some information on where to buy it. It is a 8 pin connector in a circle the size of a PS/2 connector. I have attached a picture (it has 2 inputs).

But I discovered the composite video pinout for the LiquidVideo LVM701

Same situation
Hey, I have the same video screen, is there a way I can create a DIN cord then, or what do I need to do to power this thing up? Please HELP ME!!!

You can power the unit throught the din if you need to, but there is also a spot where you can solder 2 wires for direct power input. if you can take some pictures of the board, i may be able to point them out.
If you want to make the din, if you can get a A/V connection for a laptop (it looks like an s-video with extra pins) you can then clip the end, and solder your own connections to it
When i get home tonight ill try and see if i can get some pictures of my unit. so i can illustrate better

I have to re fabricate my case anyway....its sort of medical taped together, i havent had time to create a metal one yet....
Im happy to take some pics and see if i can help.
I have an old conenector that i found, that may be the same pin number...if i can hack it to work with the liquidvideo, im happy to sell it to you....

Making a DIN cord
Actaully I have made a couple since I posted the pinout. And I have done some experimenting, with much success. I have figured out that the orignal power wiring harness has a large choke (or maybe a volt regulator) on it, and the unit should only be powered with that power harness. The 12 volt in the din connector I think is a 12 volt out and was put there to power an input device of a low amperage. What I did with it was I used it to power my second in-dash pyle 7" which I had bought second hand and I had to make a wiring harness for also. You can splice the cut din cable to a cut rca cable making sure you have some tin foil to wrap around the entire spliced area making sure it has contact with the original ground shield on all wires, then wrap the whole mess in tape. The din cord I used was an old mac extension cable I picked up at a surplus store.

well...here is the deal, I plan on cutting the wiring harness anyways and wiring it in through the dome light I currently have in my truck. My problem is that I have no din cord to goto the dvd player I have...thats what I need  ...any ideas?

Yes
1. You can make one using the pinout diagram and the instructions above.
2. You can Buy an oem one from liquid video or ebay.
3. You can bribe a technician of your choice to make one for you.
If you exercise the third chioce make sure you provide the pinout diagram and specify the length you need.

Making a DIN cord
Here are a few pictures of the one I made and what to expect.
N.B. This was project was intended for my kids to watch movies in the van. Not for competition. DVD + 7" screen + misc. accessories I had lying around = <$150 u.s.
The third pic is the cut din cable- note the shield which you need to extend with tin foil to cover the entire connection area. You can see the bulb of tape in the first pic that covers the tin foil. It's not real pretty, but it works!
