Remember that question about using a laptop LCD as computer display?

I don't know what language this is (my computer just shows question marks)...

But apparently they have interfaces for certain LCD screens for roughly $200.

In addition, these folks are building one from scratch that will interface with certain screens...

However I get the feeling that it is mostly for the Mac crowd.

Still...

most lcd controllers are panel specific or work with only a few lcd panels- I wanted to put a 15" lcd (sharp brand) in the side of a pc case and found a pci card that would control it- the pci card was over 300 so I never saw it through.... There is a site called earthlcd that has some neat lcd controllers.
