looks pretty cool. How useful is it for the car pc community? Not very. More of CAD or digital art work IMO.

theyre already making lcd screens inside of glass. how hard would it be to put a touchscreen into it

i didnt see glare in minority report. then again i still have yet to finish watching the movie. i fall asleep every single time i watch it. im on the 8th time now.

smoke less pot before watching the movie



What I mean was that touchscreens produce glare... and glass is already refelctive. So that's probably not that great of a medium for touchscreens.

Not to get all technical on you, but Apple has pattented their idea for integration of this technology , not the technology itself, which is being developed by Jefferson Y. Han at NYU, who holds a full pattent to this technology (FTIR). Basically Apple has plans to use it, but didn't come up with the technology. It's pretty amazing stuff as are most of Han's concepts.

I think this will be the future of home computing and will change computers and the way we input and intereact with programs forever. Imagine your entire desktop (meaning the actual and spacial surface area) is one of these screens. Imagine playing RTS games on it, holy carp that would rock!
