hello, I just wired my k301 into my dash. one of the features that i like is that it remembers its last position and screen memory but, like many here, i decided to power it thru my dsatx for the fear of prematurely killing it. i realized that by me powering it this way, i am not providing power to it when the pc is off and, hence, not auto-opening on ignition. So, my question is this. Is there any way of me providing a regulated +12v to the k301 without purchasing additional hardware, eg.

directly to the car's power.. no flickering ..nothing. it does not take so many amps so it is OK
