Tsp-716 Lcd

Hello, my first post, maybe I should make an introduction page...I'll do that in a few, but anyway. So I've had a Carputer in my car for about three or four years now (I think actually RIGHT before Mp3Car.Com came around ) and I finally decided to get rid of my "old" LCD and go ahead and unpgrade to something fancy. So I did a quick search on eBay and about this...

eBay Link - TSP-716 LCD

GREAT deal, great LCD, got it working, touch-screen works fine, and the display is HELLUVA lot better than my lame composite-only LCD I just got rid of. So anyway, not really sure if this needs to be in THIS forum or in the audio forum, but I guess I'll just post this here and also in the audio forum and a mod can delete whichever one that needs to be deleted...

Anyway, to the problem. Audio! The LCD only has one set of RCA outputs and no speaker wire output. I was thinking I have two options..

1) Splice into RCA speaker cables that I have installed in the car already that of course are already run through my car.

2) Someone mentioned the idea of getting another head unit and splicing the speaker wires to that unit and then just run the input/output between that HU to the LCD.

What do you guys think? Is there another way? I haven't had a whole lot of time to fool with it (will tomorrow and Tuesday, my new offdays) as I had to work seven days this week. So what do you guys think?

First off, mp3car.com has been around at least 6 years..

Why not run it into your computers audio in / line in?

I might be wrong here but I think he wants it for the tv tuner ability. If you have audio inputs on your hu then use them because that thing is not going to send out an amplified signal. Splicing into your audio wires will only work if you have a amp and splice it in before the amp. Hope this helps..

My last LCD, a Pyle, had speaker wire outputs. Probably because it had a built-in radio. I have an amp for my subs, none for the other speakers. I just can't really figure out what it is exaclty I need to do to get my door speakers working. Line In? Wouldn't that be if I had audio Input going to the computer? I need an Output spurce from the comptuer, which should be my speakers of course...

Your old Pyle unit had speaker outputs because it getnerated an audio signal and that needed to go somewhere.
You need an amplifier (or multiple amps) between the PC and your speakers, plain and simple.

You never found that link, did you? Why? It's hard to find in the NavBar across the top of the forums, amongst a lot of other crap.

TELL MP3CAR YOU WANT A LINK TO THE FAQ IN A MORE OBVIOUS, NOTICABLE LOCATION HERE.
