Question apple powerbook 5300 screen

i had an apple powerbook 5300 but now the mother bord is dead is there a whay i could hook that screen to my pc ?

If you open up the screen enclosure, you might be able to get a model number and manufacturer, which will make it much easier to tell if there is a way to use it somewhere else.

From my experience, apple gear usually has proprietary or custom connectors that don't necessarily match other types of components (at least until the 2400c, which was more standardized as it was built by IBM)

My suggestion would be to call EarthLCD and see if they know this model (tell them where it came from as well) and they might be able to tell you if one of their controllers would work.

I had the 5300ce, screen was some random toshiba model, same as yours, I believe. And the controllers wouldn't work on it, at least not the basic cnt-evideo. Better off finding a different screen, sell yours on ebay, and find a more common model.

Hey, Or make it work. Your choice.
