Got my Redant...oh so cool.

Got my Redant 7" screen yesterday and it was dismantled within 30 minutes of opening the box. I noticed I had that gray stripe that others have mentioned, but it doesn't bother me enough to send it back to HK. I'll try to fit it into my double-din slot today if I have the time.

Just had to share my excitement.

On the grey band, is the color distorted on half of the band?

It's not really noticeable. It just looks like a faded strip. Did you take any pictures of your screen before sending it back?

I still have no word about the cause of the grey band. I'm awaiting the (hopefully) solution. It still seems like some sources work perfect, some don't. And why would you order one of those from hong kong, when I'm selling them for less right in the USA!

Don't people read advertising anymore?

Sorry, the thread slipped by me! Here is a list of the pics in a directory, first last is the most recent pic of the replacement screen showing the band is still there, before I adjusted the tv out to shrink the picture so that it wouldnt fill the whole screen. the rest are the 1st screen with the picture stretched all the way. These pics will only be up for a few days so download while you can!

That's about as dark as my band. Meh. Since there's no solution yet, I'm not going to fret.

How'd you adjust the width of the screen when going through TV out?

The radeon sofware lets you strech/move it vert/horz just like the buttons on the front of your regular PC monitor do.
