Redant 7in LCD mounting questions

Hey,

I'm looking into setting up an Mp3 box for my car, I've been looking into the 7in Redant LCD, since it seems fairly cheap and easy to setup. I was hoping to mount it in the double din that my car's stock cd/cassette is in, but after measuring it, the double din seems too short to fit the Redant.

The car is a 99' Cherokee Sport, I was hoping someone might have a mounting suggestion.

I was planning on cutting the top section of my double din slot so that the screen could fit in. You wouldn't be able to see that anything had been touched from the outside, but it has to be done. It's only about 1/4" too tall. With a little luck, and a lot of force, it'll go in like gravy.

hmmm, I was considering doing that (now it depends if my dad will let me)

when will yours be done? Maybe I'll wait to see how yours turns out .

If I bought a 12in LCD (I may have found a good deal) where do you think I could mount that sucker?

thanks

How about on your desk. Why the hell would you want an LCD that big in your car?

cause it's cool, this isn't good enough for a desk anyway, only does 800x600, but it would have nice DVD viewing, and could be made a touchscreen in the future.

I think I'd mount that on the roof and have it fold down, or obove the dash, have it slide forward then fold down.

That'll take up most of your dash you know. My idea has been to have the BIG screen in front of my dvd player and heater/ac controls, it could fold to the side. Thought I might help.
