low profile LCD screen with single din?

I'm looking for a really low profile 5.6 or smaller LCD screen that has a single cable coming out of it that goes into a hub type unit which has the video inputs and power lines. I've seen units like this just browsing in the past but I can't seem to find anything like it.

Due to the location that I'd like to mount it i'm looking for a really thin lcd. Most of the ones i've seen are an inch thick or better.

As I'd described above, i've seen some of these lcd's where there is a single DIN cable that comes out of the screen and is plugged into a small housing that contains the pos/neg wires and video inputs. Does anyone know if such an animal exists where the same housing also contains the lcd controller? It seems to me that the reason many of these LCDs are so thick is that the screen portion of the setup also contains the controller. This may be because the lines between the controller and lcd need to be under a certain length but I am only speculating.

Ideas? thanks guys.
