Lilliput 639GL in 2-DIN?

Hi Everyone,

Been reading on your forum here for a while, figured you guys would know the short answer to this question:

Can you mount a Lilliput 639GL 7" Widescreen in a 2-DIN dash? I assume the dimensions of this would be about 179W x 100H x 190D. Width and height is what I am most concerned over (obviously!).

Some details I have found on the screen show the dimensions being 185mm Wide x 128mm High. What I need to know is, is this including the fascia of the very front of the screen, or does that extend further than 185 and 128mm? So long story short, could you get this screen to jam into a 2-DIN dash with a little cut-and-shut, or would it be a messy task?

You're going to be doing a bit of fabrication work. How much fabrication depends on your vehicle's dash and how you want it to look when you're done.

There's a thread in teh FAQ Emporium named "Everything you want to know about your Lilliput". I suggest searching it out and reading it, as well as any other threads in the FAQ Emporium. You can't have too much knowledge.
