Weird problem with 8" Lilliput, please help
For the last two days, I have been experiencing a odd problem with my lilliput. The touchscreen has not been working correctly. Roadrunner sometimes registers when i press a button, but most of the time it won't. When I pull up the start menu in windows, it will work 50% of the time. I tried running the calibration program, but I kept getting kicked back to the main "general" tab everytime I pressed or clicked on another tab. (either using keyboard or screen)
I decided while leaving work tonight to just leave it alone, and just listen to my playlist, having no control over track control, but I do have control of the volume using my powermate. Here's the really strange part- About 5 minutes from home, my screen suddenly went black with a "no vga input detected" box on the screen, then went completely black, with the music still playing. The screen went completely out. ( I do have the auto power on/off mod done to the screen) I thought maybe my power "egg" went out, or maybe my screen connector wiggled out or something. Then when i pulled into my driveway with the music playing, I turned the car off- the screen came back on greeting me with the windows logo with the "Hibernating" scroll bar beneath it. The the screen turned off like normal. WTF? Is it the VGA output from the board, or the screen?
Any and all comments appreciated. -Thanks

Oddly enough the screen worked this morning on my way to work. The touchscreen is still not working though. Maybe i'll re-install the drivers...

I figured out why the screen went out. Somehow the power options changed themselves to turn the screen off after 20 minutes. I fixed that problem. I re-installed the TS drivers with the latest ones off egalax.com. However, I still can't get the TS driver to do a calibration. When I run the calibration utility, It askc me to touch the blinking "X". one second after I start touching the x, the screen goes away, and I am presented with the main touchkit display again. I don't know what the hell is going on with this. Does anyone have any input about this?

No idea, I've only run my TS under linux, but could it be it's mapping it to another button?
Like, maybe you hit Right Click to get out of calibration?, it thinks your press is a right click. So you go to touch the X and it thinks your canceling?

Maybe it is, But re-installing the drivers should of fixed it if that was the problem.

Not saying it is, just something easy to try.
Reinstalling the driver might fix it, or it maybe a mouse setting in MS itself and not something associated with the driver. I've had MS do inexplicably things seemingly without cause.

The only thing the car was doing was sitting in my driveway with the ATX plug from the powersupply unplugged for a week. now when I come back home, I plug it back in, and all this stuff changes, (like the monitor power off setting) for no reason. I don't know what the hell the problem is. But i'm just about to give up and re-install windows.

My lilliput does some odd **** too. The settings (brightness, contrast, rbg, etc) on some random startup will be all "0" for no reason what so ever. And this is in the house, not in the car with noisy power.
Have you tried the reset option in the menu??

Do you think that resetting the screen through the OSD would do anything to the touchscreen? I guess that will be my last ditch effort before I have to re-install xp.

I don't know, but seems worth a shot vs an OS install.

Finnaly got mine working. Had to use the original driver:
uninstall all previous drivers
reboot with only ps2 mouse - no usb devices
install old driver(without lilliput usb plugged in)
reboot
plug in lilli usb
Then it was recognized. Not sure if this was really the solution or I had a bad connection with the usb port I was using earlier.
Here are some notes from my research:
find out if usb is being seen
device manager - what happens when unplug/plug
try on another computer
broke orange touchscreen cable?
check lilli din connector - Make sure that all the pins are straight
install driver with ps2 option
