1600x1200 compatible LCD panels?
Hey Guys:
Just found this forum, and I must say it ROCKS. Lots of info I could NEVER squeeze out of a seller in China.
Anyway, I produce video for big, multiprojector trade show and business meetings, and want to use small LCDs as local monitors when I'm sending signals out to projectors which are placed out of my view. I need to run these projectors at pretty high resolutions, and I set my video cards for dual output in "Mirror" or CLONE mode so I can see locally exactly what the projector is getting on the other side of the building. This means the local monitor has to handle the same rez as the projector. I bought a Innovatek 007 that will display 1600x1200 without going "out of range", but it's not very convenient for my setup, with the way it's cords are bundled, and the lack of a 12v adapter. Will Monitors that use the panasonic 8" panels, or sharp 8" panels accept 1600x1200. I've considering the inovatek 868, w/Sharp 8" panel or the INNOVATEK IN800BX 8" w/ 8" Panasonic panel whcih are both alot cheaper that the 007 I have. Yes, I know that MP3Store has issues, but I need to buy 9 of these suckers, and the difference between $99 and $249 each is a big deal. If there are any other affordable LCDs that will accept up to 1600x1200, I'd appreciate a heads up. I don't give a CRAP what they look like, I ust need to confirm that my computers are still running and I'm not sending the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH out to the audience! MANY THANKS,
Greg Page

I've seen where the 8" Xenarc claims a 1600 x 1200 resolution.
I've yet to try it on mine personally. Perhaps at lunch today I can give it a go.

To the OP, honestly, I highly doubt, even with scaling, that 1600x1200 will work, or be worth a crap on that small of a panel.
The 7-8" monitors all have bogus resolution claims. Although it is true that you can run higher resolutions like 1024x768 on one, but the image is almost always garbage. The lcd panel itself has a native resolution no where near the claimed supported resolutions, like 1024x768, 1600x1200, etc.
If you really need to go that high, you may be opening the wallet up a lot wider than 250.00. And, I can tell you this: there are no lcd panels with a Native resolution of 1600x1200 in the 7-8" range.
Good luck!

They're also out of business, apparently. At least the website is down.

LOOKING FOR THE FAQ? IT'S HERE.
You never found that link, did you? Why? It's hard to find in the NavBar across the top of the forums, amongst a lot of other crap.
TELL MP3CAR YOU WANT A LINK TO THE FAQ IN A MORE OBVIOUS, NOTICABLE LOCATION HERE.
