I've done a lot of reading on the forums recently, and the consensus seems to be that Xenarc touchscreens are better than Lilliput. Unfortunately, I haven't seen much in terms of reasons behind this opinion.

I ask this question because 7" Lilliput touchscreens can be purchased on eBay for $199 + S/H. This site sells the 7" Xenarc TS for $365 + S/H. That is a pretty large difference.

So why specifically is the Xenarc "better" than the Lilliput? And is it worth spending an additional $165 for it? That's a BIG difference in cost.

tbh the new lilliputs are a lot better these days and the panels are nice. a lot of the problems where the old ones

somebody correct me if I am wrong (maybe the new lillies do this?)

the xenarc as one additional but nifty feature that lilli does not. when your xenarc is fed a RCA signal (say through a backup camera) it will automatically switch out of VGA and into RCA

it will also switch back to VGA when the RCA signal is gone(car no longer in reverse)

very difficult to overcome on a lilli.

Its really difficult searching for information about screens, i have been trying to work out why i should go for a lilliput or xenarc. Also been trying to work out the differences in the lilliput models as there seem to be alot about (ebay resellers and mp3store...) even just the differnces between the 619 and the 629 lilliput screens...
