I used a ground isolator from my local corner car stereo shop. It looks like a cylinder with two rca inputs and two rca outputs. It also has a ground wire but in our case it shouldn't be connected according to the dealer. I simply plugged it in between the 750fm & the audio out on my carputer & it worked like a charm.

Still waiting for word from armen on my returned 750fm for rma. Tracking says it is there, but he hasn't confirmed. I am really missing this unit!

Did you ever get any noise on your screen?

I grounded to the metal frame around the hole for the radio. I guess that is the chassis? That is where the factory radio was grounded, so I just plugged straight into the same ground.

So it has been 2 weeks since the tracking number indicates that Armen has recieved my radio. Armen said he would contact me as soon as it arrives, and I haven't heard a peep from him despite my querries. Should I be worried?

Nope, no need to be worried.

By the way, I got the touchscreen working with WinXP on my mini-itx board. The touchscreen function & display (800x600 for now) is all working beautifully now.

I just ordered one of these screens and I waiting for it to arrive. I really want to get these buttons to work. Has anyone ever tried using these wires to connect to a relay that would close the loop from the two connections on the motherboard? (Hopefully that makes sense!)

Don't worry. I was in the same situation like you when I RMA mine it arrived about 2 month later. Good Luck.

Hey, you guys were right. Armen came through & sent me a new unit. He was testing it for a week & got it to work, but wasn't comfortable sending it back, so he sent me a new one. Pretty top notch service in the end i think. I noticed the new one doesn't have the Hiinfo logo on it any more. Plugged it right back in & it worked like a charm right off. So happy to have my tunes & carputer back!

I no longer have the wiring for that in my car to test. However, believe me, that is high on my priority list of too do's, as I wish to find out myself. I do believe that this unit has a newer firmware however, so there is hope. The reason why I suspect so is that it shuts down differently than my old unit. Previously, when I turned off the car, it simply turned off as well. Now it stays on for a few moments & waits for my computer signal to disappear prior to shutting off. I haven't found any other functional differences in it though. Hopefully that power/reset function is the next one I find.

New problem with the 750FM. The radio no longer works. For almost a month now, the radio only worked about 50% of the time, and you weren't able to change stations unless you use the menu while in radio mode. Now it doesn't work at all.

Otherwise when in PC mode, it works great. However, sometimes I need the radio - like the other day when there was an accident on the bridge & I didn't hear the traffic report - tripled my commute.

Looks like I am going to have to contact Armen & send it back. I am now debating whether to continue sticking with this unit or not. I guess that depends upon Armens warrantee policy. The only other option I see is the lilliput in-dash unit, which I am not so sure of.

Never did get the time to check whether the pc reset or power button works.
