to answer your question http://www.kvh.com/products/product.asp?id=79
about 2,000 us dollars that isif you are doing it for the car pc
then you need a video card that has a tv tuner, or that will accept a input. either vga or av.
The direct tv subscription. and a good security system because somebody going to steal it.

Can the tv tuner be used just as a terminal and not have to run through any programs on the computer?
I have 3 lcd screens that I want to distribute satellite and/or antenna to.
Are there lcd screens with built in tv tuners?... or is it better to route through my computer?

If the tuner has an output compatible with the LCD, then you can just use it, though, I doubt it will.

LCD screens with tuners are called LCD televisions.
not sure you wanna go that route tho, so yes, you CAN get external tv tuners that have a vga output.., which is what i think would be good for your setup, and guess what, i found one for you! TV Tuner
wow, im nice for once, go figure (as to the antenna, u can get a few different types..)
here are a few example type antennas (or you can buy them from here for all it matters, lol) mp3playerstore.com

Sorry,
Can I receive HD signals through an antenna hooked up to the tv tuner model 1280 from barrel of monkeys on a dell 2007WFP 20" lcd?
I would like to run all of my audio/video sources through this tuner out to the lcd, but I don't want to lose quality along the way.

OK. but what about DVD signals, would I be able to send 720p through the component inputs of that tv tuner/selector?

The problem is not "receiving" the HD signals, the problem is decoding them. If your TUNER decodes HD, and your broadcast stations in your area (some in Los Angeles do) sends out HD, then you can get a HD signal, though, unless your LCD is HD capable, you won't notice any difference.
What the heck are you talking about with your DVD player.
You need to decide what you want to accomplish, and what you want to use, and you will know what it can do. No one can tell you if some device, which we have no idea about, will do what you want, expecially since you ,keep coming up wqith requirments of what you want it to do.

Here is what I want to accomplish:
I have (2) 20" LCD screens that I want to connect multiple sources to (Satellite/Antenna, DVD, Computer, Game consoles,...)
I want to be able to select which source will go to each LCD. I figured I would need to spit the signals from each source into (2) seperate selectors, 1 for each LCD.
The selector must be able to take audio and video input from each source and output the video as VGA or component and the audio as composite L+R.
The video from the output of the "selector" will go to respective LCD. The audio will go to the respective sound system.
I guess the main problem is finding a device that will accomplish the source selecting... that is what I thought that tv tuner that FCS3 found could do.
I'm sure there is something that may work better, I just haven't found it yet.
