Is this possible or on the market at all?

I tried googling this and came up with nothing:
Just wondering if there is a laser detector that hooks up with an LCD inside the car to display on the LCD the location where the detected laser signal is coming from. I don't know if this exists and am not even sure if this post belongs in this category but it seemed to be the most relevant.

I can understand this being cool... but sounds like alot of work for nothing...

Laser detectors only alert you to say " oh $hit " ... Lasers move at the speed of light... by the time your detector goes off it's already returned enough information back to the cop to determin your speed... your already screwed..... It's impossible for you to slow down fast enough to have it be affective...

however there are things like "blinders" or "diffusiors" that work against the laser... In most states they are not illegal.... These are different than radar jammers which are illegal in all 50states and canada..

if you used teh blider/diff. with the laser detector then yes this would be great... otherwise i think your wasting your time...

just my .02.

While, that is not what the thread is about, BLinders and Diffusers DO NOT WORK. Detectors CAN work if they pick up Radar (and laser, which is more difficult) which was not directed at you, but perhaps the car 10 in front of you. That is where detector sensitivity matters.

Nothing is sure fire to protect you, but a detector CAN save you in the right circumstances.

Michael

Keep in mind also that laser technology is pretty expensive and there are a ton of places that have not upgraded to this.
