Hi Guys and Gals,

I've been reading many backlight upgrade threads, as well as the transflective screen reviews. I'm trying to decide which way i'll go.

The common complaints i read about transflective, are fingerprints and dust susceptibility and price. I'm mainly concerned about the fingerprints and dust.

On the other hand, there are a few successfull backlight upgrades with LED's (Luxeon's).

I will have an all black vehicle (paint, seats, dashboard, carpet, doors interior), complimented with very dark tint on the back-side and rear windows. Only the roof interior will be light gray. In these circumstances, i wonder what would be the best solution for me. Buy the transflective and deal with the fingerprints, or have a bright backlight upgrade. Oh, one more thing, i'm not worried about the brightness at night, as i'll make some hardware that dims the backlight, might even make it controllable through PC soft.

What do you think, i haven't found anyone (yet) who has had both.

Thought i'd bump this post, since the fingerprint thread for the transflective screens has just been bumped too

C'mon guys, someone must know: how does a *good* backlight upgrade compare to the transflective screen? Please?
If you think this question is newbish, then please tell me why too. I thought i had 'ed everything i could before postings this.
