Simple Motorized Screen - Help?

Well, in my focus, i would like to get a Motorized screen in the passenger side (on the dash)

Where there is an airbag in the newer models, mine comes with nothing in the dash, so i am wanting to just buy a cheap tft and have it turn on and come out of the dash (Just up and down) with the CarPC and audio gear....

My problem is not the screen, as i could pick one up from any where, and i can do the dash fabrication myself, to make it look as though there is nothing there (A bit like the volvo screen that pops up)

(Image pinched from http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show-off-your-project/80360-2004-volvo-s60r-popup-carputer-completed.html

The problem is where or what to buy on the Mechanics side of things to make it actually move up or down.

I was thinking of something simple like and old CD drive, and atatch the screen to that in some way (Vertically, of course) and when it's powered the draw opens and pushes the screen up, etc.

Better option would be to make something specific for my use, but i am not too sure where to start...

Any help would be brilliant!

Dean

By inputting "Motorized LCD" as my search terms, I found several threads on this topic. In addition, search terms such as "linear actuator" and "Popup screen" would likely yield results. There have been several people who have built their own motorized screens.

If you click on the link in my signature, my website describes how I built one, but it's not a vertical drive screen like you want.
