what is a good video card for this idea...

I am looking for a video card that will display video on one screen and everything on the other. I used to have one that would do this automatically. Currently I have an ATI card, but I have to physically move the the program window to the other screen in order for this to work. I want the player visible on one screen and video displayed on the other.

Look up "Full screen video overlay" or some thing similar like that.
My onboard Nvidia video card do that (dual output: VGA and s-video/composite). There is a checkbox for the above term which enable full video on 1 screen. The player's control and application window on the other. and you can minimize the application window without affecting the video screen.

Then what if you want to have the overlay video displayed in one screen, and the same displayed in a window in another?

I have the same problem that thunderstick has.

I wonder if it is possible to get the same video for on the front LCD AND on the rear LCD.

Also I would like to be able to keep a 1024x768 resolution on my computer monitor while displaying on a TV as well. My current ATI card limits my computer screen to 800X600 when using my TV and my computer monitor.
