3.5" tall touchscreen question from a CarPC hopeful???

Hey mp3car, I'm a long-time lurker and I finally got the car I've been waiting for so I'm now off to rip it up and put in a PC .

My project is slightly different than what others have done with my kind of vehicle so the support is limited. I am looking for a touchscreen that is 3.5" tall and approx. 7" wide. I have searched the threads and can't come up with anything. If anyone has any suggestions or if they can point me in the right direction, please do.

Thanks in advance.

Looking to do something like this but would need that 3.5" height screen.

Cant you just use an in-dash motorized 7"? Might cover up your vents a little when it pops out, but should be tolerable.

I thought about the in-dash setup but was hoping to avoid that route to try and keep it as OEM as possible. If there aren't too many (or any) screens out there that I can use, I may have to succumb to the in-dash

7"x3.5" is an odd format...seems like a 16x9 6" screen might work though. Would be about 5.25"x3"...give you gap on the side, but you're not going to find a 2:1 aspect ratio like you're looking for.

Oh that is completely fine with me. My main limiting factor is the height (3.5"). I will do some searches for those dimensions but if you have any off the top of your head please list them.

Thanks in advance!
