How hard would it be to do this to my 700TSV?

I own the same car as the person who did this install. This is basically the setup I am aiming for.

I can fab the LCD mount and bezel as it is within my skill, but I'm curious as to the level of complexity on modifying the LCD itself for a slim, compact design that will enable me to stuff the computer into the dash as depicted in the pic.

I have done some real minor electric work and consider myself a beginner at soldering. I know I can make clean connections, but my overall level of knowledge of electrical components can be considered n00b-ish. What sort of knowledge do I need to have before to tackle this hack of my TSV?

I'd like your honest opinion before I even attempt this.

TIA!

Nevermind. Easy enough to do.
