In addition to the audio and video inputs, it has 3 spliced power connection wires. One says "+12v", the second says "ground" and the third says "to back a car." How do I power this? Do I connect the +12v and ground to a car adapter (or psu molex)? What do I do with the "to back a car" wire? Please help. I do not want to fry my first LCD. See pictures for details.
Though there is really no way to say 100 percent what it is, it sounds like it is a 12 volt trigger to make the screen turn on the AV part of the input, for a reverse camera.
Unless you have a reverse camera, you probably don't need to connect it.
Try just the positive and negative wires, and see what happens.
