Really Nice LCDS at Burger King

first off, I AM NOT ADVOCATING AN ILLEGAL ACT, JUST POSTING A QUESTION. Have any of you seen those brand new really nice bright lcd displays at the drive through line for Burger King? They're in little steel enclosures, doesn't look too hard to borrow. Anyways, I'm usre there is a nice little controller card in there, and a 15" lcd panel with really nice direct daylight viewing. Maybe someone out there works at a burger king (wouldn't surprise me around here) and can find out how much the franchise pays for it.
I'm only ONLY mentioning this because they work in direct sunlight, and up here, in 110 degree weather with the glaring desert sun, that is a big achievement.

Dave

BTW, a chain to a truck bumper would surely yank that thing...

my guess is they cost and arm and leg but i've seen them at a lot of burger kings so i'm sure they got them at a semi reduced rate but probably still a lot of cash

Re: Really Nice LCDS at Burger King

The forklifters i drive during this summer also has some nice displays

you put in the number of the order from the truck, and then you get a list of where the goods is and how many of each

the monster is a 486 with nt4, and wireless lan, so when im done, i press some buttons, and the trucker gets a recieve of it all from the office printer i'ts a 8-30v -> 12v converter there too

All of the McDonald's in the area are getting these NICE (42-inch?) plasma displays as menu boards. Really, really nice stuff. I'm sure they are expensive, but they probably pay for themselves in reduced printing costs. (Silkscreening those menu boards is EXPENSIVE!!!)

Also, they have a little display over the counter(s) that show looping weather/advertising/news. It's called IGN or something like that. Nifty stuff, and REALLY nice LCD panels.

I'm sure they'd notice if one was missing. Maybe I could pose as the "inspector" or "repairman" and make off with one?

Heheheh.
See ya!
