HELP HELP HELP..... GL701 - NP/C/T no MEMORY and loud audio POPs

I have scoured and used "search" over and over and over and can not find the exact answer my installer needs.

I have the GL701-NP/C/T - in dash 7" Lilliput with FM radio.

We have the Yellow wire going to 12+

We have the Red wire going to ACC

And it is correctly grounded.

PROBLEM:

we set the stations and the bass, treble, clock etc.... and when the key is turned off - then turned back on - the GL701 loses memory of everything we just set. We have tried switching wires - we have tried different grounding options (it is grounded FOR SURE) the voltage is correct on the 12+ etc...

QUESTION:

What am I missing??????

PROBLEM:

loud pop noises in the speakers when we tune channels, turn off the car etc...

QUESTION:

Is there any info on why this unit would be popping like this all the time??

Hi,

I have the same issue with the popping, I find that if I turn off the unit before I turn off the car it's fine.

As far as the memory of the stations go, I don't have that issue (does the clock reset as well?) sounds like the battery and ignition are reversed though, or what you thought was a battery signal is not a perminant +12v line. Have you used a harness connecting to the stardard plugs in your vehicle?
