Well if you keep the pc apart from the screen, once they pry it out of the dash they'll be like "wtf" (but in Danish
) and ususally leave it.
Most of the security features would be for people that steal your entire car because they can lock out if a password isn't entered or something. Or the features would be useless with the PC off, so they will steal your PC and then once they turn it on, useless (until a reformat).
Active defense is harder to do, because power is limited. Might be able to have a motion sensor when tripped boot up the PC and snap a series of photos and send them to your email or something. That way you will at least have a way of getting your stuff back.
