Powering my lilliput with laptop?

Since i have a laptop i cannot power my lilliput (10.4") off the molex connector that normal pc's have..what would be the best way to power my monitor?? here are the only solutions ive come up with...

-open up the laptop and get 12v from the inside and run it to the monitor.
(could the laptop handle the extra power being drawn without hurting the laptop?)

-Use the AC adapter that came with my lilliput and plug it into an Inverter in my car...(not sure how stable the power would be?)

-Plug normal PC powersupply into an inverter in my car and run the monitor off of one of the molex connectors on it. (not sure how stable the 12v output would be if the ac inverter does not have a constant output?)

Thanks for your help and input!

BTW im assuming since the monitor is rated 11v-13v it would not be healthy to hook it up directly to the cars 12v source since it alternates so much correct?

Check the MP3car.com store for point-of-load PSUs.

There are other options, as well.
