So the other day I power up my carputer and get a white screen. I've seen this happen before when there's a problem with that ribbon cable going from the screen to the board. Take it apart, see that two of the contacts on the ribbon cable separated off the cable. Ordered a new one, same problem. Any idea what I could try looking at?

I was just searching the forum because mine started doing this yesterday have only had it installed for 1 month although i did buy it in feb this year

I had the same problem, i contacted Lilliput, and they said it was broken, and told me to return it, and they sen dme a new one..
I got the new one 2 days ago, but it turned out the new one is allso broken, it wont open and close

If I look at your first picture I see that you have the same controller as my.
So I know for sure that the controller is your problem.

What brand monitor do you have ??

4 Days on no reply email from Lilliput is this the norm with them?

well i guess there's no easy fix short of doing a trial-and-error replace of almost every part of the screen. does anyone know of a different screen to suit the purpose that might not break as easily?

btw i have a wrx custom bezel and would really like to reuse it for whatever my next screen is... but i'm pretty sure it's only designed for the 7" lilliput :-\

Must be dead lilliput time around here...

One of my screens just went dead, I opened up the dash and found one of the wires on the ribbon cable was busted -- not even sure how that happened. Probably gremlins chewing on the thing...

Replaced the cable, still bad. Time for a new screen, I guess.

I'm having the same problem, one day driving back from a long trip the screen stared to flicker for about 20 seconds then just died. no vga,vid1,vid2 but the touchscreen still works and the button pad. does any one know whats wrong with it? anything i can replace?

When my CTF700 from cartft.com fades to white, i only have to unplugged - re plugged it and everything goes back to normal...

I must admit that i was really scared the first time it happenned to me a month after the installation ... it only happenned once after that..

well i got my new lilliput running streetdeck (awesome) installed yesterday.. this one is the same model number as my old one but the board design is completely different, seems a little cleaner. screen is also a lot brighter, pretty visible in daylight. maybe this one will outlast the rest....
