Dennis K Screen Dimensions
I'm looking for the dimensions of a Dennis K screen. I'm looking for Length and Width.. Depth isn't a concern so much. Thanks in advance!

A slight misunderstanding I think. I don't want to know the viewing area for the LCD, I wanted to know how much space the thing actually took up, you know including the metal casing and such. I wanted to know if it would fit inside a specific opening in my dash. I looked through that datasheet and didn't see the actual outside dimensions...
Lemme know what you guys think...

see pages 19-23 of the datasheet.
EVERY dimension for the screen/casing/etc is on there.

My Grand Am has a Din & a half sized stereo opening, I'm considering going headunitless and putting it in that bay. I'm hoping it'll fit there okay.
Do you like the quality on it? Color depth wise? Eventually I'd like to have DivX and DVD playback....

it looked pretty good... i didnt have a chance to run any dvd programs on it since i just hooked it up to my old slow computer to see if it worked...
the controller is excellent, so it looks a little better than a typical 12-bit screen with a cheap controller, but dont expect perfect quality playback, unless you are watching a full size flat panel display with 24 bit color...
im putting my screen in the dash of my 2000 cavalier... probably pretty close to the grand am dash (GM un-originality at work here) but i think the pontiacs typically have round vents where mine are rectangular and a bit shorter in height. im gonna fab a nre dash panel insert to hold the LCD at the top (right under the vents), then my pioneer head unit will go directly under it (small spacing between the 2) and then at the bottom will be the HVAC controlls (moved down a bit to accomodate the screen size).
hopefully it all works out!!!

Yeah your dash sounds very similar to mine. I just wanted to do a dimension check before I looked into purchasing a screen. In that stereo bay is the only real good place to mount that big of a screen, so if it won't fit there, I' not sure I want it =)
Plus I'm not too awesome at custom prefabs or anything. Maybe I'll look into trying some hand layup fiberglass.... *rubs chin*
I'd like to see some pics if/when you get yours mounted!

Ok.. I looked at all these docs.. and one place (the screen i gather) says 221mm but then another area "interface" says 331mm... that's about 4 inches larger?
221mm = ~ 8.7in // 331mm = ~13in
Is the touch screen 4.3 inches larger???
Maybe my brain is just misfiring or something..
